Term limits for PM to come to a vote on Sunday

The ministerial committee on legislation will vote on setting term limits for prime minister on Sunday, Justice Minister Gideon Sa'ar, who chairs the committee, announced on Thursday morning.

Sa'ar received approval from Prime Minister Naftali Bennett to go ahead with the bill, because it won't be retroactive and therefore would not apply to opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu.

Netanyahu could serve eight more years as prime minister until the bill applied to him.
