Report: UNIFIL to stay in South Lebanon for another year

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon has recommended that UNIFIL remain in Southern Lebanon for another year, Israel Radio reported on Wednesday.
Ban reportedly expressed "deep concern" over the "tragic incident" at the Israel-Lebanon border three weeks ago, in which an IDF soldier was killed, and said it shows how fragile the stability is in the region.
The secretary-general also reportedly said the tree that Israel wanted to uproot was located south of the Lebanese border, and Lebanon's army shot first.
