President Peres set to attend Assaf Ramon's funeral

President Shimon Peres will attend the funeral of Assaf Ramon, who died Sunday when his Israel Air Force F-16 crashed in the South Hebron Hills, on Monday afternoon, Israel Radio reported. In a statement reacting to the news, Peres said Sunday, "What happened today is more than a tragedy. In our worst nightmares we could never had imagined such a heart-breaking accident." The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. at the military cemetery in Nahalal. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was also set to attend. Yaakov Katz contributed to this report
