Official: NATO supplies ambush kills 2 in Pakistan

PESHAWAR, Pakistan — Gunmen ambushed a truck early Friday in northwest Pakistan that was on its way back home after delivering NATO supplies in Afghanistan, killing two people, a government official said.
Local official Iqbal Khan said the truck was attacked near Jamrud in Khyber tribal region. The driver and his assistant were killed, and the unidentified gunmen then torched the truck.
It was the most recent in a rash of attacks on the Pakistan supply line used to carry non-lethal goods to US and other NATO forces in Afghanistan.
