Histadrut threatens Dan bus strike

The Histadrut Labor Federation on Thursday threatened a Dan bus driver strike to begin next week as negotiations over drivers' salaries remained at a standstill.
The threat of a possible strike is an effort to push forward negotiations with the company's management, which have dragged for a year and a half.
The union had turned down an offer that it said would see some 300 drivers and employees lose NIS 1000 from their monthly salaries.
"We call upon the company management to reconsider and return urgently to the negotiating table with an fair, appropriate offer for the drivers," said Avi Edri, Chairman of the the transportation workers union in the Histadrut.
