Shahar Pe’er suffered her worst defeat of the year on Thursday, losing 6-2, 6-2 to Anabel Medina Garrigues in the second round of the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami.Pe’er, ranked No. 11 in the world, hadn’t lost to a player ranked outside the top-50 since last October, but she never really found her footing against Garrigues (73) and was sent packing after just 63 minutes.Pe’er failed to earn a single break point in the entire match and won just eight total points on the Spaniards’ serve.Meanwhile, Andy Ram and Yoni Erlich will look to kick-start their season in Miami after a poor start to 2011.The Israeli doubles duo has claimed just three of 10 matches so far this year, failing to win more than one match in a single tournament to date. Ram and Erlich will face Marcin Matkowski and Mariusz Fyrstenberg in the first round in Miami, three weeks after defeating the Polish tandem in the Davis Cup.
