Mac TA-Haifa postpone Toto Cup quarterfinal

Bnei Yehuda joined Maccabi Petah Tikva and Ironi Kiryat Shmona in the semis on Wednesday, needing extra time to defeat Maccabi Netanya 4-2.

The final Toto Cup semifinalist will be decided on Thursday after the match between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Maccabi Haifa at Bloomfield Stadium was postponed by a day following Avi Cohen’s passing on Wednesday.
Elsewhere, Bnei Yehuda joined Maccabi Petah Tikva and Ironi Kiryat Shmona in the semis on Wednesday, needing extra time to defeat Maccabi Netanya 4-2.
Shalev Menashe gave the visitors the lead in the 13th minute, but Netanya would equalize six minutes into the second half through Firas Mugrabi, only for Oz Rali to put Bnei Yehuda ahead once more in the 62nd minute.
Seven minutes later, Omer Peretz tied the score and the match went to extra time.
Asi Baldut missed a penalty for Bnei Yehuda in the 102nd minute, but three minutes later he got another chance from 11 meters out and converted the spot kick.
Rali wrapped up the victory three minutes from the end of the extra 30 minutes and ensured Dror Kashtan’s men would finally have something to smile about after a tough start to their Premier League campaign.
Last season’s winner Betar Jerusalem lost to Maccabi Petah Tikva 4-2 in a penalty shootout on Tuesday after extra time ended tied at 2-2. Kiryat Shmona defeated Ashdod SC 1-0.
