Champions League: United beats Grant's Cheslea on penalty kicks

Manchester United beat Chelsea 6-5 Wednesday in a penalty shootout to win the Champions League title after a 1-1 draw. Cristiano Ronaldo and John Terry each missed in the shootout before Edwin van der Sar saved a shot from Nicolas Anelka to make United the European champion for the third time. Carlos Tevez, Michael Carrick, Owen Hargreaves, Nani, Anderson and Ryan Giggs scored United's other kicks, while Michael Ballack, Juliano Belletti, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole and Salomon Kalou scored for Chelsea. Frank Lampard scored in regulation for Chelsea after Ronaldo's 26th-minute opener for United.
