Omri Casspi’s second double-double of the season helped the Sacramento Kings to their second win in three games on Sunday, a 94-89 home victory over the Phoenix Suns.The Israeli had 14 points and 10 rebounds, hitting four of six three-point attempts in 34 minutes on court, the most he has played in nearly a month.DeMarcus Cousins scored 13 of his career-high 28 points in the fourth quarter to help the Kings to a 19-2 run to end the game and improve their NBA worst record to 7-25.“Obviously DeMarcus had a phenomenal game – he’s been playing great for the last three, four weeks and I’m just happy for him,” Casspi said. “It feels good. I’m just happy we had guys making plays.“I told DeMarcus we made big plays on defense and I told him right when he got to the free throw line, ‘Everybody’s cheering right now but you take your time and breathe, take all the time in the world, knock them down.’ And he did down the stretch – he put all the pressure on the defense.”After the Kings made a stop at the defensive end, Casspi quickly made a three-pointer to give Sacramento its first lead since the first quarter, a 92-89 advantage with 25.6 seconds left.
