Young man dies after being shot in Jaffa park

Victim, who was known to police, taken to Wolfson Hospital in critical condition; TA: Sudanese man stabbed in head.

A young man in his 20s was shot dead late Friday night by an unknown assailant in a park on Aza Street in Jaffa.
A Magen David Adom medical team arrived at the scene and took the man to Wolfson Hospital in Holon in a critical condition. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
An initial investigation revealed that the victim, who was known to police, arrived in a car, and sat in the park.
The assassin apparently arrived on a motorcycle, shot the victim and then fled the scene.
Police continued to search for the attacker.
In an unrelated incident, a Sudanese foreign national was stabbed in the head near the Tel Aviv central bus station on Friday night, police reported.
A Magen David Adom team arrived at the scene to the treat the man who suffered moderate injuries.
Police opened an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
