US Army: 2 soldiers killed by small-arms fire northeast of Baghdad

Two US soldiers were killed Sunday by small-arms fire northeast of Baghdad, the military said.
Another soldier was wounded in the attack in the volatile Diyala province, according to a brief statement that provided no more details.
Identities were not released pending notification of relatives.
The US military members' death toll has reached at least 3,963 since the Iraq war started in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count.
