Egyptian intelligence chief Omar Suleiman phoned Prime Minister Ehud Olmert following last week's deadly Kassam rocket attack on Sderot, begging him to act with restraint in the Gaza Strip, the London-based Al-Quds newspaper reported on Tuesday.
Palestinian sources said that Egypt was also exerting pressure on Israel to reduce IDF operations in the West Bank.
