Iraq releases video of air strikes on ISIS
Iraq announced on Tuesday that its air force conducted "precision" strikes on Islamic State targets in Anbar, Dijila and Baiji.
Security forces and militia groups are currently focused on routing Islamic State from the western province of Anbar, where they have been gearing up for an offensive to retake the sprawling Sunni heartland.
The Iraqi defense ministry also released cockpit video of warplanes bombing IS buildings and vehicles, but did not confirm when the air strikes took place or their precise locations.
The air raids killed a large number of militants and destroyed several armored vehicles, according to an Iraq Defence Ministry statement.
The ministry also released footage of Iraqi ground troops pounding IS positions with rockets in the hotly-contested oil-rich northern district of Baiji.
US-led coalition warplanes have been carrying out strikes in Iraq and neighboring Syria since August 2014 in an attempt to roll back Islamic State gains.
