Iraqi police: Series of car bombs kill at least 12 in Baghdad

Iraqi Police and hospital officials said car bombs have killed at least 12 people, including five civilians in a central commercial district of Baghdad. The officials said two cars packed with explosives also wounded 15 others, including five women, Monday in the capital's Karradah neighborhood. The police and an official at the Ibn al-Nafis hospital spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to release information to the media. They said that one of the bombs went off at a restaurant near the Karradah courthouse and the other near a passport office.
