A Palestinian was shot and killed by the IDF on Monday after he was seen sabotaging the Gaza security fence, an IDF spokesperson said Tuesday.
According to the IDF, soldiers opened fire on two Palestinian suspects who were seen sabotaging the Gaza security fence in the northern part of the Strip.
Both of the suspects were hit by the gunfire and the surviving suspect was taken into custody for further investigation, the army said.
Earlier in September, soldiers opened fire on a group of Palestinians who breached the security zone approaching Gaza’s border with Israel, and damaged the fence and threw stones at troops, military sources said.
Two Palestinians were wounded in that incident, the army said.
