Food for thought...

The city of Tel Aviv set a double record at an international tourism fair in London last week when it displayed the biggest serving of humous ever created on the biggest plate ever made, reports www.local.co.il. The massive 420-kilogram serving of humous was served up on a plate with a diameter of 4.26 meters, and is expected to be written into the Guinness Book of Records. According to the report, the organizers of Tel Aviv's coming 100th birthday celebrations decided that nothing could better represent the city internationally than a big serving of the popular chickpea spread. "Like humous, Tel Avivians are easygoing and leave you with a taste for more," a committee member said, adding that the humungous humous had drawn thousands of people to the city's beach-themed booth.
