Visitors to Haifa's Rambam medical center are being warned that extensive renovations will limit parking spaces and create disruptions for the next two years, reports Yediot Haifa. The hospital has begun building work on about 20 separate projects, including an underground car park that can be used as an emergency medical center during any attack, a new children's medical center, a new emergency and trauma center, new wards, and a new research center.
According to the report, some of the car parks at the hospital will be closed off within the next few months, leading to a "crisis in parking" in the area of the hospital for the next two years. A hospital spokesman said visitors will be able to park at the Hof Hashaket car park; in the streets in the Bat Galim area; and, after 3 p.m., in the new car park next to the port.
