Molotov cocktails hurled at Paris synagogue; none wounded
By JERUSALEM POST STAFF
Police on Monday said two Molotov cocktails were hurled at a synagogue in a suburb north of Paris on Sunday night, amid tensions in France over the fighting in Gaza.
The police headquarters of the Seine-Saint-Denis region said the gasoline bombs damaged a restaurant next door but caused no injuries. A window was shattered in the restaurant and the wall blackened.
Interior Minister Michele Alliot-Marie said in a statement that Sunday's nighttime attack in Saint-Denis was "cowardly and inadmissible."
It was the latest in a series of anti-Semitic incidents in France since Israel began its offensive in Gaza against Hamas on December 27.
