Teapacks to perform at fund-raiser for BeKol

The band Teapacks will be performing at a fund-raiser to benefit BeKol, an organization that works to empower the hearing-impaired in Israel and promote equal opportunity and accessibility, including employment and legal rights.
The show on Sunday, January 5, at Reading 3 at the Tel Aviv Port starts at 9 p.m. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
The evening will be fully accessible for the hearing-impaired through a real-time audio and transcription system. Proceeds will be donated to projects in the periphery for the hearing impaired.
Since 1988, Teapacks has been one of Israel’s leading bands. Led by front man Kobi Oz, it was started in Sderot by a group of musicians from diverse backgrounds: Tunisian, Moroccan, Bulgarian, Romanian, Syrian, Polish, Russian and Yemenite. They are known for such hits as “I Have a Girlfriend,” “What Have You Done?” “Sami and Somo” and dozens of others. Their song “Push the Button” was Israel’s 2007 Eurovision Song Contest entry.
