Two border policemen indicted for beating a Palestinian

Two border policemen were indicted on Monday, less than a year after one was filmed beating a Palestinian in a village near Nablus while the other watched. In March, a y-net film crew caught Yaron Blanch repeatedly punching a 17-year-old Palestinian after he had been stopped and been asked to present his identity papers. The indictment, which was served by the Police Investigations Department (PID), charges Blanch with attacking the Palestinian youth, and Hasid with complicity for not preventing the incident. According to the indictment, Blanch launched his attack without provocation, punching the boy in the head and in the chest, while Hasid stood by and did nothing.
