Hundreds of cadets in basic training at the "Tzuki Uvda" base in southern Israel were sent home after 13 soldiers on the base were struck by pneumonia.
An IDF spokesperson said that the cadets were released "on the suspicion that the sickness might spread to the remainder of the soldiers [on the base]."
The medical corps is investigating the incident, Army Radio reported.
