The Social Workers Union was set to hold a strike across the country Tuesday in protest of an attack on a social worker in an Abu Ghosh welfare office.
The social workers began sanctions five weeks ago to protest a severe manpower shortage and were refusing to take on any new patients. The workers are now threatening to toughen the sanctions even as far as a general strike of all welfare services.
