Report: IDF strikes car with Al-Jezeera reporters

An Israeli tank shell hit a car carrying reporters from the Al-Jazeera Arabic satellite TV channel on Wednesday night in the northern Gaza town of Beit Lahiya, Palestinian witnesses said. They said there were apparently some injuries, and ambulances were on the way to the scene. The military had no immediate comment. However, the military spokesman said IAF aircraft attacked a cell of Hamas terrorists, in what appeared to be a separate incident. Israel has been massing troops across from northern Gaza, and some moved across the border in what appeared to be the start of an operation to create a buffer zone there to move Israeli cities out of Palestinian rocket range.
