Academics, rabbis and media personalities will speak and perform for the public in the annual "dialogue tent" that is to be set up in Rabin Square by the Gesher organization on Wednesday.

Thousands of high school students, soldiers and residents are expected to flock to the square to hear lectures from the likes of TV personality Jackie Levy, Education Minister Yuli Tamir, author Nir Bar'am, former MK Geula Cohen and IDF Education Corps head Brig.-Gen. Ilan Harari. Rabbis Benny Lau and David Stav, Hebrew University lecturer Dr. Micha Goodman and others are to discuss topics such as leadership, Zionism and love from a Jewish religious perspective.
The Knesset Education Committee is to hold a special meeting there, whose topic of discussion will be "the limits of freedom of expression in the educational system." In addition, a section of the square will present movies on the central conflicts in Israeli society.
The Gesher organization works to connect different parts of Israeli society to each other, reaching some 70,000 Israelis each year with programs aimed at developing a pluralistic Jewish-Israeli identity.
The tent will operate from 8:00 a.m. until 7:15 p.m.
