Professor Gabriella Shalev sworn in as Israel's ambassador to the UN

For the first time since the founding of the state, a female ambassador will represent Israel at the UN.
Professor and lawyer Gabriella Shalev officially entered her role as Israeli Ambassador to the UN after being sworn in Tuesday morning.
Shalev is taking over from Dan Gillerman who served as the Israeli ambassador at the UN since 2002.
