MK Omri Sharon requested Monday that his sentencing hearing be postponed until after the 2006 election.
Sharon noted that he did not intend to run for Knesset in the next elections, and that his request was intended to prevent any damage that the proceedings could cause his father, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, in his bid to head the government.
