Olmert says government will aim to reduce road accidents by 6% in 2008

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert announced the government will aim to reduce road accidents by six percent in the coming year.
Speaking at a conference of the Or Yarok [Green Light] organization in Tel Aviv Wednesday evening, Olmert said the goal was achievable, and added that the funds allocated to the state authority on road safety will be increased to NIS 500 million.
