Olmert: Israel will respond as needed to Iran

We have to take the lessons of the Holocaust to our hearts in order to prepare ourselves for the challenges of the future, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Wednesday in Los Angeles. Speaking at the Simon Wiesenthal Center ahead of his return to Israel, Olmert said that Iran has declared its intention to "wipe Israel off the map," and was working to achieve nuclear capability in order to do so. Olmert told his audience that Israel would face the threat and respond as needed, Army Radio reported.
