Officials: Palestinian sniper attacks Israeli farm, no injuries

A Palestinian sniper in the Gaza Strip has opened fire at a southern Israeli farm, the IDF said Sunday According to an IDF statement, the gunman attacked a farmer driving a tractor, and the farmer was not hurt, though gunfire damaged his vehicle. The incident occurred shortly after Israel reopened its border crossings with Gaza under a truce agreement. Israel pledged to open the crossings under the June 19 truce. But it has repeatedly closed the passages in response to Palestinian violations of the truce. There was no word from Israel on whether it would keep the border crossings open after Sunday's shooting.
