National Union MK Zvi Hendel stated on Wednesday that Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Dan Halutz was not worthy of serving as the head of the IDF and that he could understand why Cpl. Hananel Meged refused to shake his hand, Israel Radio reported.
Earlier in the day, Meged, who was being honored as an outstanding soldier, refused to shake Halutz's hand, in protest of the disengagement from Gaza in August, 2005.
