Attorney-General Menachem Mazuz rejected Monday a request made by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to dismiss Senior State Comptroller's Office official and former police Cmdr. Ya'acov Borovsky.
Olmert made the request after State Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss refused to try Borovsky under the suspicion of bribing the Sharon family who in turn would receive support for his candidacy for police inspector general.
