Attorney General Menahem Mazuz rejected a request forwarded by President Moshe Katsav's attorneys to open an investigation on leaks from the case files and the indictment draft, Israel Radio reported Wednesday morning.
Katsav's attorneys said that phrases reported in the media supposedly taken from the indictment never appeared in the indictment draft.
Despite rejecting the request, Mazuz ordered authorities involved in the case to act cautiously in order to prevent media leaks.
