Livni: Battling underworld as important as fighting outside threats

Following the assassination of mobster Yaakov Alperon in a Tel Aviv car bombing, Foreign Minister and Kadima leader Tzipi Livni said Monday evening that battling the underworld was just as important as the fight against Israel's enemies. "The incident in the center of Tel Aviv is intolerable," Livni said during a Kadima faction meeting. "From our point of view, going after criminal gangs is no less important than going after outside threats."
