MKs Avshalom Vilan (Meretz) and Collette Avital (Labor) were to present the Evacuation-Compensation Law proposal to the Knesset plenum on Wednesday.
According to the proposal, residents of settlements that would remain on the Palestinian side of the security barrier can request, at the present time, to be compensated for leaving their homes without waiting for an evacuation or diplomatic agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
The two MKs also sent a letter to Justice Minister Haim Ramon in which they requested that the Constitution, Legislation, and Law Committee recommend approving of the law.
