A large explosion rocked Nablus on Tuesday, and IDF forces entered the northern part of the West Bank city, Palestinian residents said. The cause of the blast was not immediately clear. Palestinian witnesses said one man was arrested. Israeli military officials confirmed troops were operaring in the Nablus region. Three Palestinians were wounded during the incident, Channel 1 reported. Earlier, Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen.Dan Halutz told the Defense and Foreign Affairs committee that the army's policy of targeted assassinations in the Gaza Strip would continue, with the focus being on Islamic Jihad operatives. According to Halutz, this policy had proven very effective thus far.
