Gaza evacuees petition High Court for safe housing

Twenty-one families who were evacuated from the northern Gaza settlement of Elei Sinai during the disengagement, petitioned the High Court of Justice on Monday, demanding that the government find safe temporary quarters for them immediately. According to the petition, filed by Attorneys David Kirshenbaum and Eliav Mandel, the families have been homeless for more than two weeks after they abandoned their mobile homes at Kibbutz Carmiya because they were not protected against Palestinian-launched Kassam rockets. On February 3, four members of one family, including a baby, were hurt by a rocket that fell several meters from their home.
