Gal-On slams agreement between Barak, Olmert on early election

Meretz MK Zehava Gal-On on Wednesday slammed the agreement reached in a late-night meeting between Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Defense Minister Ehud Barak to call of the vote to disperse the Knesset due to corruption allegations against the prime minister.
"The Labor Party's compromise allows the three-month extension of the term of a prime minister who is under corruption investigations," Gal-On said. "Labor should have demanded the immediate suspension of the prime minister and the establishment of an alternative government."
