Former MK Gavrieli testifies ahead of possible probe of Bar-On
By YAAKOV LAPPIN
Former Likud MK Inbal Gavrieli submitted testimony to the National Fraud Unit on Sunday, as the police continues to gather material in order to decide whether to launch a criminal investigation against Finance Minister Ronnie Bar-On, who is suspected of voting irregularities.
Bar-On was captured on a recently released video pushing down Gavrieli's Knesset voting button, as well as his own button, during a parliamentary vote in 2003.
In 2006, Knesse Member Yehiel Hazan was convicted for the double-vote, and received four months of community service.
Attorney Genneral Mencahem Mazuz has ordered police to make a decision on whether to launch an investigation on the matter.
