Ezra announces support for construction in E1

Internal Security Minister Gideon Ezra announced Sunday that he supported construction in the E1 corridor connecting the settlement of Ma'aleh Adumim with Jerusalem. Israel had frozen plans to construct some 3,500 housing units on the outskirts of Ma'aleh Adumim after the E1 plan came under fierce Palestinian and American resistance. Ezra, who visited the disputed area on Sunday, said he also supported the construction of a new Judea and Samaria Police headquarters within the corridor.
