Former prime minister Ehud Barak criticized on Sunday night the way in which the Labor Party's election campaign was being managed.
In a party conference in Tel Aviv, Barak said the campaign should emphasize Labor's successes in the past, particularly under the leadership of former prime ministers Yitzhak Rabin, Shimon Peres and himself.
He added that the party's top officials should have prevented Peres's move to Kadima, declaring that had Peres remained in Labor, Barak would himself have taken a leadership position in the party.
When asked by party activists if he supported current Labor chairman Amir Peretz, Barak would only say that he supported the party.
