Beit Shemesh 'Taliban mother' arrested for breaking bail terms

Beit Shemesh police late Thursday arrested the Beit Shemesh woman suspected of systematically abusing her 12 children after she allegedly broke the terms of her bail, police said. The woman, who has been referred to as the 'Taliban mother' due to her multiple layers of all-black garb, allegedly broke the terms of her house arrest by meeting with her children in violation of a court order and obstructing justice, Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said. The suspected child abuser will be brought to a Jerusalem court on Friday for a new remand hearing in which police will ask the court to keep her in custody through the duration of her trial.
