Defense Minister Ehud Barak said on Friday that the elections were not a "beauty contest."
"One of the things that we saw in the [Gaza] fighting was that life in this country isn't a game, soldiers can get killed," Barak told Israel Radio. "At the moment of truth, the public won't ask who speaks nicest or looks nicest, but who is capable of leading the country."
