An audio recording of Sara Netanyahu fuming at an aide over a gossip column that failed to point out her status as a psychologist surfaced Sunday.
The column, published in 2009 at the request of Netanyahu's aide, focussed on Netanyahu's work with charities and refugees, and suggested giving back to the community is a primary duty of the prime minister's wife.
The audio recording, published by Walla! News, reveals Netanyahu wasn't pleased with the column.
"We must help the refugees from Darfur," she screamed at her aide. "I'm doing it! As an edu-cated woman! A Psy-cholog-ist! B.A.! M.A.! That's it!"
The aide responds, saying that "it says in the first sentence you are a psychologist."
Netanyahu is a child psychologist by profession. She has been accused of verbally and physically abusing Prime Minister's Residence employees in the past.
Unrelated to the abuse allegations, Netanyahu has been investigated for various counts of fraud. But separate from the criminal fraud issues, Netanyahu (officially the state, standing in for her) has been sued in civil damages cases by former employees for abuse, underpayment of overtime hours and other offenses. Two employees won against her in 2016.
In October of 2017, another woman filed a complaint with the police against Netanyahu, testifying for more than eight hours about alleged abuse she endured working as a cleaner at the Netanyahu residence.
