As the world marks 16 years since the tragic attack on September 11, 2001, the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism launched its 17th world summit in Israel.
The conference, which began Monday morning at IDC Herzliya, is one of the largest events in the field today, and boasts of over 1,000 top decision-makers, defense, intelligence and police officials from over 60 countries among its participants.
Key policy makers and Israeli politicians are expected to make speeches and lead discussions in the conference. On the schedule for Tuesday: Former Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon, senior presidential adviser Brian Michael Jenkins, Labor Chairman Avi Gabbay and a special panel featuring senior diplomats stationed in Israel.
