The Washington Wizards beat the LA Clippers 119 to 117 on Thursday after a special evening during which Israeli singer Kobi Aflalo sang the American National Anthem.
The performance was part of a special Jewish heritage night marked by the Washington Wizards basketball team.

The event was to include Deni Avdija who plays on the team and former Israeli NBA player Omri Casspi.

Avdija played for 25 minutes and scored four points, Ynet reported. Kawhi Leonard of the LA Clippers shot 22 points.

The Washington Wizards launched a Hebrew twitter account to better accommodate the surge of interest they have experienced from Israeli fans following the decision to draft Avdija, a former star player on the Maccabi Tel Aviv roster.
