Anyone walking in Jerusalem on Sunday would have a plethora of reminders that US Vice President Mike Pence has arrived – 110 of them to be exact. That’s the number of massive billboards and signs on buses that were created by the Friends of Zion for Pence’s visit, along with a huge digital billboard on the Friends of Zion Museum walls. The campaign was created by museum founder Dr. Mike Evans. Evans presented Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales with a “Friend of Zion” award at an event in Guatemala last week – which was attended by political and religious leaders – to honor that country’s declaration to move its embassy to Jerusalem.Last week, Morales received a special certificate to mark the planting of a tree in the Jerusalem hills in honor of the people of Guatemala and their continued support, from the day the State of Israel was created until today. In December, Evans presented the Friends of Zion award to President Donald Trump in the Oval Office in the presence of Pence, senior advisers Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, and faith leaders representing more than 150 million Christians globally. This article was written in cooperation with the Friends of Zion.
