K’s Choice celebrates 25 years with seventh Tel Aviv show

One of Israel’s biggest fans in the rock music world, K’s Choice, is returning for the seventh time for a special 25th anniversary show on May 1 at the Barby Club in Tel Aviv.Led by sister/brother team Sarah and Gert Bettens, the Belgian indie pop band achieved moderate success in the 1990s with their melodic sound reminiscent of an edgy Fleetwood Mac. On their first trip to Israel over a decade ago, they opened up for Garbage. Since then, each of their shows in the country has sold out.In 2003, the band went on an indefinite hiatus, but recent years have see a resurgence with regular albums and tours.In 2010, the band endeared themselves to Israeli fans when after a performance at the Barby Club, bassist Eric Grossman strongly criticized Elvis Costello for canceling booked shows in Israel.
