Car explodes in Or Yehuda injuring one in apparent criminal attack

Police reports indicate the event was criminally motivated.

A car exploded on Sunday morning in the central city of Or Yehuda, according to MDA reports. 
MDA paramedics at the scene provided medical treatment for a 37-year-old man in moderate to severe condition at the scene for injuries to his extremities and chest. The injured man was then transported to the Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer.
A 37-year-old man was lying on the sidewalk near the car with injuries to his chest and limbs," explained the first responder Karen Biton at the scene. "We provided initial medical treatment and then immediately transferred the man for emergency treatment to the Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer in severe condition," she added.
Initial police reports indicate that the incident was a criminally motivated and potentially mob-related assassination attempt. An investigation has been opened by police into the details of the incident.
