Zimbabwean opposition leader calls on voters to end Mugabe rule

Leaders in Africa and Europe stepped up pressure on Robert Mugabe to stop political attacks Friday, while his rival in next week's presidential runoff called on Zimbabweans not to lose hope that they can change their country.
Angolan President Eduardo dos Santos, seen as a Mugabe ally, has called on him to bring an end "to all acts of intimidation and violence" to ensure the June 27 vote is legitimate, Angolan state radio reported Friday.
In Europe Friday, leaders threatened authorities in Zimbabwe with more sanctions in a statement adopted Friday at the end of a two-day European Union summit.
