Two killed, dozens hurt in train crash in Thailand

Two passenger trains collided south of Bangkok near a beach resort town early Sunday, killing two train employees and injuring about 60 other people, rail officials said.
The accident occurred when a Bangkok-bound train ignored a traffic signal and took the wrong track, hitting an oncoming train head-on just outside the Hua Hin station before dawn, said Wichai Choochumporn, head of the station. Hua Hin is a popular beach resort town south of Bangkok.
Among the injured passengers were an Italian man and a German woman, both of whom were treated for minor injuries, he said.
